Aaliyah Nye set an Alabama women’s basketball program record in Thursday night’s 84-66 win on the road at Florida.
The 6-foot graduate student, in her third season with the Crimson Tide, knocked down nine 3-pointers in No. 23 Alabama’s (19-5, 6-4 SEC) second consecutive SEC win. Nye’s nine treys breaks the previous record of eight held by eight different players — including Nye herself.
Nye finished the night vs. the Gators with a game-high 27 points, shooting 9 of 12 from 3. On the season, Nye is averaging 13.7 points per game and shooting 42.7% (73 of 171) from beyond the arc. She has started in each of Alabama’s 24 contests this season.

Alabama returns to action on the road at Mississippi State on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m. CT (SEC Network). The Crimson Tide next return to Coleman Coliseum on Feb. 17, hosting Texas A&M. Alabama currently sits in sixth place in the SEC with just under a month until the conference tournament (March 5-9).
