A Nebraska volleyball legend has been selected to the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for week two of the Volleyball Nations League. Libero Lexi Rodriguez will make her VNL debut when the United States faces Serbia on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. CT

Rodriguez is a four-time All-American and a three-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. She ended her career as the program’s all-time digs leader with 1,897. She was also one of four finalists for the AVCA National Player of the Year for the 2024 season.

The VNL features the world’s top 18 teams competing against one another over three weeks of play. After week one, the U.S. is 1-3 and is in 13th place. The U.S. has won the tournament three times (2018, 2019, 2021). In 2024, they lost in the quarterfinals to Italy.
