A Jefferson City man was arrested for a reported weapons offense Monday night in a parking lot outside a business, according to the Jefferson City Police Department.
Jefferson City officers responded to 1417 Missouri Blvd. after a reported fight in the parking lot with subjects in possession of firearms.
Officers arrived at the scene and detained a man who they reportedly observed trying to conceal an item in the back seat of a vehicle, according to the police department.
The incident happened outside Boulevard Billiards, and staff provided video footage that reportedly showed two men arguing in the back parking lot. As the altercation escalated, the subject pulled out a pistol, the video reportedly showed.
The subject was a 27-year-old Jefferson City resident and convicted felon, police said. He was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a firearm and is being held at the Cole County Jail pending formal charges, police say.
