Juvenile County Championships:
After a seven-week break, the Kerry Juvenile Championships resumed in style on Saturday with an action-packed day of Mixed Doubles.
While mixed doubles may not be everyone’s preferred format—whether juvenile or adult—it certainly didn’t deter participation, as over 140 players took to the courts. This incredible turnout is one of the largest in recent years for juvenile mixed, showcasing the growing enthusiasm for the sport.

The level of play on display was nothing short of exceptional. In particular, the U12 final was a masterclass in how to play mixed doubles, serving as a lesson not just for their fellow juveniles but also for the adults in attendance. The match featured outstanding short serves, shuttle placement, and excellent footwork, making it a true joy to watch.

While Listowel impressively contested all four finals, it was the talented players from Annascaul and Milltown who stole the show, claiming victory in the U10 and U12 categories. A huge congratulations to all competitors for their hard work and dedication throughout the event.
A special thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day such a success, from organizers and volunteers to coaches and supporters. We now look ahead to the next exciting event in the championships—the Singles competition—taking place on April 4th. Best of luck to all players preparing for the challenge!
