LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A Las Vegas man accused of shooting and killing a dog in the valley has spoken out, albeit briefly, about the incident.
Kevin Hoskins declined a full interview but provided a few comments before ending the call with our reporter, Cristen Drummond.
“Why did you shoot the dog?” Drummond asks.
“Excuse me, but I’m going to decline for today,” Hoskins said when asked about the incident. When pressed further on why he shot the dog, he responded, “I was on my way to be mauled.”
Despite being informed that the dog was in a kennel, Hoskins insisted, “The dog had exited the kennel, but I’m not going to continue to interview.”
Police reported finding Hoskins standing in the street with the dog shot dead inside a kennel at a home.
Hoskins is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
