Louisville has also claimed four ACC titles under Busboom Kelly.She finished with a 203-44 at Louisville.In 2017, when Busboom Kelly started at Louisville, she took the team who was coming off a 12-18 season to a 24-7 record. Following the season, she was named the head coach of the U.S. Collegiate National Team Europe Tour, and she led the team to gold in the European Global Challenge.Then in 2018, she took the team to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before she took them to the Cardinals’ first NCAA Regional Final in 2019.During the short season in 2020, Busboom Kelly led the team to the ACC Championship before being named the ACC Coach of the Year.The Cardinals won 32 straight matches in 2021 before ending the season in the NCAA Semifinals for the first time ever. Busboom Kelly was named ACC Coach of the Year and the AVCA National Coach of the Year. Louisville finished the season ranked No. 1 for the first time ever.In 2022, Louisville made it to the NCAA Final for the first time in program history before falling to Texas. Busboom Kelly was once again named ACC Coach of the Year, and the team claimed their third-straight ACC title.The 2023 season saw a 27-5 record and an appearance in the regional finals. Last season, Busboom Kelly took the team to the NCAA Semifinals, and on their way up the tournament ladder, they earned a win over top-seeded Pittsburgh 3-1.Prior to Louisville, Busboom Kelly was a Husker through and through. She was a part of the recruiters that helped the Huskers grabbed the 2015 NCAA Championship in Omaha — almost a decade after she helped win the national title while playing for John Cook in 2006.Before coaching for the Huskers, she was the assistant coach at Tennessee from 2009-2010 before taking the assistant coach position at Louisville in 2011. As a Nebraska player, Busboom Kelly was “considered the Big 12’s best libero in 2006” as she set the Huskers’ single season digs record with 580 during her first year in the position. She was named defensive performance in the NCAA Semifinals against UCLA when she tallied a career-high of 29 digs.During three years with Nebraska, she was named captain to the team, helped Nebraska to a 124-10 record, three Big 12 Titles, two NCAA Final appearances, and the 2006 national title.After her graduation, she worked with the U.S. Women’s National Training Team as well as working as a sideline reporter for radio broadcasts of Husker volleyball matches for Husker Sports Network.She was also an assistant coach with USA Volleyball’s Select A2 Program.In 2010, Busboom Kelly married former Husker football player Lane Kelly.
