An electric bicycle rider reportedly died after a crash involving a pickup truck Sunday night in Santa Barbara.
At approximately 9:35 p.m., personnel from the Santa Barbara Police Department and Fire Department responded to the middle of the 1900 block of State Street due to the incident involving a cyclist and a truck.
Firefighters and medics rendered aid to the cyclist, but lifesaving measures weren’t successful. The rider was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the black pickup remained at the site of the crash.
Santa Barbara police officers were investigating the incident.
