3 Iowa state park beaches not recommended for swimming due to E. coli levels

ALL RIGHT. TIME IS 1218, AND WE’RE LOOKING AHEAD TO A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND. AND BUT WE’RE ALSO SEEING A LITTLE BIT OF SMOKE IN THE AIR, TOO. YEAH, WE HAVE MORE KIND OF FILTERED SUNSHINE LOOK. THAT HAZY, SMOKY SKY. KIND OF A GRAY ESSENCE TO THE SKY OUT THERE TODAY. AND REALLY WITH US PROBABLY THROUGH THE WEEKEND, WE’LL BE DEALING WITH THE SMOKE AND HAZE. THIS IS A LIVE LOOK HERE FROM PELLA. MAYBE A LITTLE BIT OF MORE BLUE SKY WORKING ITS WAY THROUGH PELLA THAN WHAT WE SEE IN DOWNTOWN DES MOINES FOR THE TIME BEING. TEMPERATURES WARMING NICELY EVEN THOUGH WE DO HAVE THE SMOKE MID AND UPPER 70S OUT THERE. IT’S GOING TO BE A WARMER DAY TODAY COMPARED TO THE LAST WEEK, WEEK AND A HALF OR SO. WE’LL JUMP ABOVE AVERAGE THAN TYPICAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR HEADING INTO THE WEEKEND, AND THIS AFTERNOON WE’VE GOT JUST THE SMOKE AND HAZE MAKING ITS APPEARANCE HERE ACROSS IOWA. AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. OTHERWISE, WE’RE QUIET AND DRY HERE FOR THIS UPCOMING WEEKEND. TEMPERATURES ALREADY RUNNING ABOUT TEN CLOSE TO 15 DEGREES WARMER THAN THIS SAME TIME YESTERDAY. AS EXPECTED, WE SHOULD BE RIGHT AROUND 80 DEGREES OR SO BY THIS AFTERNOON. SOME OF US ALREADY AT 80. THAT WOULD BE GRINNELL. THE BIG WINNER OUT THERE FOR THE LUNCH HOUR, 77 IN CARROLL. WE’RE AT 76 UP IN AMES. AGAIN, WE’RE KEEPING THINGS QUIET. YOU WON’T NOTICE THE SMOKE ON HERE, BUT OTHERWISE, IF WE DIDN’T HAVE THE SMOKE, WE’D BE HAVING A BEAUTIFUL BLUE SKY. LOTS OF SUNSHINE HERE AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND. SATURDAY LOOKS NICE. ASIDE FROM THE SMOKE AND HAZE. AND THEN WE HEAD INTO YOUR SUNDAY. ALSO SHOULD BE DRY AND QUIET. WE WILL HAVE THAT SMOKE LINGERING INTO THE END OF THE WEEKEND. IF YOU’RE HEADED OUT TO PRINCIPAL PARK OR EXCUSE ME, PRINCIPAL CHARITY CLASSIC OVER AT THE GOLF COURSE, IT’S JUST GOING TO BE KIND OF SMOKY AND HAZY. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO WARM INTO THE UPPER 70S TO LOW 80S TODAY. WINDS FAIRLY LIGHT THIS AFTERNOON OUT OF THE NORTH AND WEST. WE’VE GOT SO MUCH GOING ON IN IOWA THIS WEEKEND. SO MANY EVENTS HAPPENING TONIGHT, SATURDAY, SUNDAY. WE’VE GOT TO DSM SATURDAY FOR THE RUNNERS. NOT TOO BAD TO START OFF. AND THEN WE WARM UP PRETTY QUICKLY THOUGH AS YOU’RE FINISHING UP THE RACE, TEMPERATURES INTO THE MID 70S LIKELY THROUGH ABOUT 10:00 TOMORROW. SUNNY, HAZY, KIND OF SMOKY. THAT’S KIND OF THE NAME OF THE GAME HERE. AS WE HEAD INTO THE WEEKEND. IT WILL BE WARM THOUGH. WE GET EVEN WARMER BY THE TIME WE HIT SATURDAY. TODAY, RIGHT AROUND 80 DEGREES. TONIGHT’S FORECAST SKIES SHOULD STAY MOSTLY CLEAR. WE’RE BACK DOWN INTO THE 50S AND THEN TOMORROW WE TAKE THINGS EVEN WARMER MID, MAYBE UPPER 80S FOR SOME OF US, DEPENDING ON HOW THICK THE SMOKE AND HAZE IS. OTHERWISE IT’S GOING TO BE WARMER HERE HEADING INTO SUNDAY AND MONDAY. CLOSER TO 90 BY MONDAY WITH SUNSHINE. THEN OUR STORM CHANCES RAMP UP ON TUESDAY. MAYBE A FEW LINGERING SHOWERS ON WEDNESDAY. OTHERWISE, WE DROP DOWN THURSDAY. AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES ARE CONCERNED. CLOSER TO AVERAGE. AND THEN WE
