This is Max. We got him from a friend a while ago, but I never blogged about him because I’ve received weird comments about Beretta before and didn’t want to get more. But now, he has built up to be a phenomenal trail runner and keeps me company in the mountains, so I think it’s time for you to meet him! We think he has helped Beretta stay young, they hang out all day together with us and are very protective.
He stays right by my side when we run and has never once pulled on his leash. He actually likes to help carry it himself, too;). He is a golden doodle, and his hair is usually much longer, but he was groomed recently. I feel much safer with him and like I can really explore up in the mountains now. The excitement he has when he hears ‘wanna go on a run’ is next level.
We saw four coyotes yesterday, and when they saw Max, they darted off in the other direction. You can see one of the coyotes at the bottom of this pic:
There were some gorgeous purple flowers along the way…
Our 9th dating anniversary date! 1991 ft of climbing… Isn’t that how everyone celebrates an anniversary? We are a little ridiculous.
I’m not sure Vuori planned for their small front pockets to be filled with sour candy, but mine is when I go on a trail run.
I got to go to for Acai Bowls with Keira. Bowls Superfood is kind of our place.
She gave me her book and I dove right into it. You can preorder it now!
Brooke’s bakery supplies have started to arrive… She’ll be selling her sourdough soon.
We did the run club thing. There are about 50-55 kids who show up each time to run, so it’s a bit chaotic, but I hope we can help them see how fun it is to get outside with their friends and move!
And with that all, I was ready for bed at 6 pm.
I have another race I’m thinking about doing, and the aid station descriptions alone are persuading me to sign up:
