The Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic is expected to bring about 6,000 riders to roadways this weekend.

Cyclists leave Seattle on Saturday for the start of the 207-mile journey, which ends at Holladay Park in Northeast Portland. Most riders plan to complete the route over two days.

Motorists should watch for cyclists on U.S. 30 west of Portland on Sunday, as well as in inner North and Northeast Portland as riders complete the route.

Cascade Bicycle Club says the 6,000 participants mark a post-pandemic high point for the event, which is in its 46th year.
